Here you go

Next one: Before it was used to make houses and gingerbread men, gingerbread was a popular sweet in medieval Europe.

Andy Warhol made a movie called "Batman Dracula" in 1966, that was considered a lost film. It was an homage and totally not associated with DC in anyway. It still technically is lost, but some clips were used in a documentary so people were able to at least experience it that way

This isn't to be confused with Batman vs Dracula, which was an official DC animated movie, or Batman Fights Dracula, a lost unofficial Filipino movie.

Basically, Batman has a long, dirty history with Dracula c;

It's called Jack Smith and the Destruction of Atlantis, it's about the artist Jack Smith, who used to hang out with Warhol and basically started the American performance art scene. He was also a well known photographer and film maker. super campy too

I never had gingerbread.

The first oranges weren’t orange. The original oranges from Southeast Asia were a tangerine-pomelo hybrid, and they were actually green. In fact, oranges in warmer regions like Vietnam and Thailand still stay green through maturity.

Camp is like, an aesthetic based on celebrating bad taste and tackiness, enjoying things on an ironic level basically. Very cheesy basically... I actually live for camp aesthetic, why John Waters is one of my favourite directors

you see it a lot in the drag scene, too o:

There’s only one letter that doesn’t appear in any U.S. state name. Can you guess the answer to this random fact? You’ll find a Z (Arizona), a J (New Jersey), and even two X’s (New Mexico and Texas)

but not a single Q.

Scotland has 421 words for “snow”. 421?! That’s too many fun facts about snow. Some examples: sneesl (to start raining or snowing); feefle (to swirl); flinkdrinkin (a light snow).

no prob ;3c I could sit here all day giving you movie and art scene facts

but I'm blanking on a bunch I know actually lemme see...

Psycho was the first movie to ever show a toilet on screen, and it caused a lot of controversy at the time, especially since it was also the first toilet to be flushed on screen (it was important to the plot, which is the only reason Hitchcock was allowed to include it)

and people whine about people being too sensitive these days... tch

@Apollo Im Burning: I have no idea why people need so many words XD

Samsung tests phone durability with a butt-shaped robot. Do these interesting facts have you rethinking everything? People stash their phones in their back pockets all the time, which is why Samsung created a robot that is shaped like a butt—and yes, even wears jeans—to “sit” on their phones to make sure they can take the pressure.

in the movie a character was trying to destroy evidence, so she was trying to flush a torn up note down the toilet. it actually fails to flush properly so it comes back later in the movie c; (this character was the one who was in the famous shower scene, actually)

it's a pretty good movie if you like classic cinema! it was wildly influential.

I don't like Alfred Hitchcock as a person but damn, he did make good movies
