Forums The Undercurrent I feel frustrated (serious vent..)

Donator — He/Him Posted 2 years ago ( 2022/10/16 22:37:50 )
I'm not sure how to start..

This last month has been a bit of a whirlwind..
Basically, I want to divorce my husband.
I feel conflicted but also I know I want this.
I know this will be difficult but it feels right.
I feel sad that our relationship has come to this but also relieved to not have to live with him once I move away from him..

I've been thinking that our relationship is messed up..
I'm not sure how we got to this but at some point sex felt like an obligation to him because all I did at home was read manga and watch shows/anime and never really looked for a job and he's taking care of all of my needs. He seemed to resent me for not looking for a job or even caring to want one? but would also say I didn't have to have a job, he still loved me and all that mattered was I did the dishes and assumingely had sex with him. I felt conflicted and confused. Should I try my best to get a job or will it be fine to just do what I enjoy? Of course I would prefer to enjoy what I love and not get a job. Was I being selfish? All he ever did was work and play games the majority of our life together.
And I thought I guess this will be how our life is.

I felt like I was the only one who cleaned up and organized our home the way I would like it the best I could manage..
He always had a disorganized mess somewhere that I never wanted to touch. Was that just normal and acceptable?

When we had our son, life felt even harder..
Doing my best to take care of him was so difficult and frustrating..
I felt like I noticed annoying things about my husband even more so.
I felt like nothing I did was good enough.
He would keep saying I had a great and easy life.
