I was in the suggestion forum, just perusing, and apparently this forum is meant for literature as well as visuals. I noticed some people saying they didn't feel that Artist Galleries was really for writing and I felt that maybe posting some of my own writing would help ease others into posting their own!

i found kindness in your hands
calloused from holding and lifting
others, not as if they were anchors
but wounded fledglings needing faith
to fly above the clouds once more.
i found loyalty in your smile
crooked from baring itself in
the face of adversity; not out
of stubbornness, but a desire
to never dampen brilliance.
i found honesty in your cheeks,
how they never pretended
to feel something they didn’t;
painted warm from the genuine
admiration of strangers and
friends alike.
i found trust in your eyes,
how they twinkled and shined;
humble and excited
in such an unabashed way
that the world could never take.
i found kindness in your hands
