Zeke nodded.

"Got it." he said.

"Yeah, I know just... 'resetting' her state is always an option, but... man, she's complained that it's not pleasant, and it's not surprising." Cain responded. "She's not a full one, like Ty." he lamented.

"So... yeah, we do like to avoid THAT solution, if we can." he went on, before rising to his feet a little more, and putting more weight on them.

"Oh!" he then said, putting the backpack by the foot of the bed.

"If she improves, there's stuff in there for her." he told Angela.

Cain picked it back up and and hung it on one of the hooks as she had asked him to.

"...I'll be with my Mom in the lab, then." he told her.

"Better than going insane sitting around, waiting." he reasoned.

"He has a point." Zeke replied.

"I'll make sure he gets to the lab without collapsing or anything." he told Angela.

"Then I'll come back, just in case you end up needing me for... anything."

"All right." Cain responded.

With that, the two of them left the room, and the medical wing entirely, making their way towards the lab. Along the way, Cain was a little unsteady, but it slowly dissipated as they moved. They then reached the lab area, where Zeke pressed the button on the doors that led into the lab proper, which acted as a 'doorbell' of sorts.

"Yo!" he called through the glass door.

"Anyone there?" he asked, smirking. He knew they were there.

Was just a matter of who would answer the door, and how soon.

"It's cool." Zeke responded.

"Cain needs to bum about here. Help you out, busy himself and keep his mind distracted." he told her.

"He'll explain further." he went on. "I was just an escort." he chuckled.

"And sorry to do an immediate come-andf-go, but I gotta head back to the medwing to see if Angela needs any help." he went on. "Not sure how MUCH help I can be, but... she might need an extra pair of hands at least." he shrugged. "Anyway, see you both later." he finished, before taking his leave, waving as he left, with Cain just standing there and nodding a little.

"Lunet's not doing so well." he told Kiah, explaining the situation to her, how she'd been mildly sick, how it had worsened slightly, suddenly took a massive turn for the worse, the injuries, and the temperature she had.

"So Angela sent Zeke to where we were 3 minutes later, where I had us ready to go. He brought Lunet to the medwing, but travelling that way leaves me... out of sorts, to put it lightly." he continued. "That being said, given the situation, I was not going to be picky." he mumbled. "Regardless, when I got there, Angela gave me something for the 'travel sickness', and Zeke made sure I didn't collapse or anything along the way here." he told her further.

"Thankfully, I'm feeling much more up to snuff now, but I was hoping that being here would give me a chance to occupy my mind, and not spend my time going insane sitting in the waiting area of the medwing." he then finished.

"All right." Cain responded.

"I'll see if I can help Mom out." he told her. "If not, or if she's fine without my help, I'll come back here and see if there's anything you need help with or want help with, or whatever." he said.

"Thanks." he finished, before parting ways with her.

He then made his way towards the lab in question, lightly knocking on the door.

"Hey, Mom." he called through it. "Want some help?" he asked, slowly opening said door.

"...a lot, in a short amount of time." Cain responded.

He then stepped inside and rattled off what had happened to Lunet, and everything else that had occurred, right up to the point of him coming here.

"...so here I am." he finished.

"I need to distract myself somehow." he told her. "Whether it be helping YOU, or Kiah." he said further.

"So. Got anything for me?" he asked.

Cain paused for a moment at her statement of Lunet dying and staying dead, before nodding.

"Yeah." he said.

He then looked at the notepad, and immediately seemed to be drawn into it.

"...wow." he mumbled.

"...there's... no, you already tried that..." he muttered. "And... well, no, that's... but then there's..." he murmured further, his brain kicking right into overdrive for this.

"Well, what about using pure aligned mana here, as opposed to tainted?" he asked her, gesturing to a specific part of the notes.

"...damn." Cain muttered.

"Fair point." he said.

"Yeah, celestial WOULD be too strong." he then admitted, scratching at his chin a little.

"Hmph." he grunted. "If pure isn't an option... we might be able to use less of this chemical, add a little more lightning mana, and increase the sodium here. That MIGHT give an equally positive reaction." he told her.

"Won't be the same, but it might be a workaround."

Zeke looked confused for a moment, raising an eyebrow.

"Eh?" he muttered.

"Bring her here? We're all stuck here?" he asked.

"I mean, sure thing." he answered her.

"But why?" he asked.

"Or is this an 'act now, talk later' scenario?"

"...got it." he responded, before they ended the call.

He then made his way to Liv's room, knocking on the open door.

"Hey, Liv!" he said.

"We gotta get moving." he told her.

"Mom says we're taking an extended vacation at The Unit, essentially." he went on.

"And I get the feeling she wants us there ASAP."
