Oh btw they don't ask for permission when doing construction in the US?
@Raxton: Not if it's public domain stuff like sidewalks and streetlights, etc. Or if it's a new building going up across the street, for example. They don't poll all the neighbors or anything, no...
Yes, if you're not expecting it, but the construction crews usually make it pretty obvious that they're about to do something, and they do have to apply for and get various permits (& do inspections) for their work. And there are rules about zoning that they have to follow too...

@Raxton: that do. I don’t mind the construction most of the time I like new buildings being built it’s just that I was sleeping
@Nephila: they do, before you build a building in your area they need to get approved by the planning commission and city Council for your area. And then they have to also get demolition permits and construction permits from the city.
