Jaden just smiled and nodded.
"Of course." he replied.
He then created a pair of portals on the wall next to them, and reached in. He pulled out a pair of plates, and some glasses. Once he did, he plated some pizza for each of them, and poured them each some pop of their preference.
"All right." he said.
"Good to go." he told her.

"Thanks." Desiree said as she accepted the plate. Silver wanted to know what was on it, of course, so once she had it in hand, she plucked off some of the chicken and let him sniff it, and eat it if he so desired.
"A million times over, thank you." She then said, not looking toward Jaden for this one.
"Just... I can't say it enough."
Silver started to lick at the chicken... before eventually taking it in his mouth and chewing at it.
Jaden looked back at Desiree, and nodded.
"It's okay." he said.
"I know you're grateful." he told her.
"And it's the least I can do." he went on.
"I'd... I'd do anything and everything for you, Desiree."
Jaden looked back at Desiree, and nodded.
"It's okay." he said.
"I know you're grateful." he told her.
"And it's the least I can do." he went on.
"I'd... I'd do anything and everything for you, Desiree."
Desire just smiled softly.
\"I'd do all I could if you ever needed me for something." She commented with a smile.
"It's something that I have been actually debating for awhile." She then added.
"How far I would go for you.... eventually, I came to a realization." She continued.
"I'd go to the ends of the Earth for you."
Jaden's eyes widened some when he heard that.
"I..." he stammered.
"Well... I... yeah." he muttered.
"That sums up how I feel about you nicely." he went on.
".................." he was then silent for another moment, before shaking his head.
"No. I have to say this, and I have to say it outright." he said, taking a deep breath and exhaling it.
"Desiree. I.... I love you."
Desire froze for a moment.
"I... really hadn't expected that from you, I must admit." She then said.
"But what can I say? The feeling is mutual, Jaden. I'm just hesitant to say it - what with my upbringing and the assocciations I still have with 'love'."
Jaden just nodded in response.
"I understand." he said.
"We don't even have to use the L-word, if you're uncomfortable with it." he told her.
"But... I had to let you know how I felt. And... to know that the feeling is mutual..." he went on, trailing off some, and then sighing quietly.
"Desiree, if you like, you don't have to look for a new place." he said.
"If you want... THIS can be your home." he told her.
"With me."
"I understand." he said.
"We don't even have to use the L-word, if you're uncomfortable with it." he told her.

Desiree was silent for a moment before just smiling softly.
". . . well... that solves that issue, doesn't it?" She asked with a light laugh.
"Seriously. It really does." She said.
"Although you know you will have to largely give up seafood... right?" She asked.
"Because... I don't get along with them, at all."
Jaden just shrugged.
"Meh." he said.
"I'm not in love with it anyway." he told her.
"Worst is me giving up occasional sushi." he said further. "And even then, I only grab it when I'm too lazy to cook, but don't want fast food." he continued.
"So nothing lost there." he shrugged.
He then just smiled, and nodded.
"So.... I guess it's official?" he went on.
"You're living here, now?"
"Meh." he said.
"I'm not in love with it anyway." he told her.

"You're living here, now?"
Desiree was silent for a moment before chuckling.
"Certainly seems that way, doesn't it?" She asked.
"But good. I don't have to stress out about lousy landlords anymore." She added. He could hear the relief that she was feeling her voice, clear as day, as well.
Jaden pursed his lips a bit, but then smiled.
"Yep." he said.
"This building is really well maintained." he continued.
"We'll just need to clear it with the building rep tomorrow." he said.
"She's... well, she's really nice. Biiiit over-cheery, but she's all right." he went on.
"She'll give you a key for accessing the front, as well as one for the apartment, and she'll clear your mana so you can teleport right in if you like." he continued.
"Yeah, this is a mage-run building."
"Yep." he said.

"Good to know." Desiree said with a nod.
---
Desiree had ended up curling up with Jaden, and both were under the covers. It wasn't too surprising, since it was rather chilly in his apartment, but neither were really complaining.
It honestly seemed as if things were really going to go on the upswing for both.
-
A few weeks later, Kalin sighed as she dialed Jaden's home phone and waited for an answer. She didn't know which it would be, but that didn't matter. She needed help from both.
She wasn't waiting for long, before it was answered.
"Yello." Jaden said.
"This is Jaden." he said into the phone.
"State your business pah-leeze." he added.
From his vocal patterns, it was clear that he was having a good day.

Hey Jaden." Kalin started.
"I've got a bit of an issue that I need you and desiree to help me solve." She continued.
"See... I kinda double booked you two into the same timeslot." She then admitted. "Sorry, but I really don't think that we can cut one out of the show. People are coming for both of you."
"............hm." Jaden muttered.
"This IS a pickle..." he admitted.
"Tell you what, Desiree and I will stop by in a few minutes to talk to you." he told her.
"You at home or at the club?" he then asked.
"This IS a pickle..." he admitted.
"Tell you what, Desiree and I will stop by in a few minutes to talk to you." he told her.
"You at home or at the club?" he then asked.
"Club. It's not open yet, and I'm sitting in the main hall just trying to figure this out." Kalin told him honestly.
"Just mana in." She added.
"It'll make it a lot easier."
"Got it." Jaden replied.
He then hung up and looked around.
"Desiree!?" he called out, as he grabbed his cell phone.
Where you at? he sent to her.
We gotta talk. And no, it's not bad. Not... well, maybe it is. he sent further.
Whatever, there's something we need to discuss with Kalin. he then added in a third text.

Jaden didn't get a reply for close to ten minutes, and even then, he didn't get a reply through his phone.
"Jaden, what's up?" Desiree asked from the doorway as she made her way into the room.
"What do we need to talk to Kalin about?" She then asked, her voice curious.
"She double-booked us." Jaden replied.
"And she can't afford to cut either of us, since we're drawing an equal crowd each." he went on.
"So we need to head to the club and speak with her about it." he continued.
"See if there can't be an elegant solution to this little snafu." he said further.
"So... yeah. When can you leave with me?" he asked.
"Because Kalin's probably freaking out some." he reasoned.

Desiree was silent for a moment before shrugging.
"Lemme get my shoes, and we'll head out." she said simply before heading off to do just as she said. She grabbed her shoes and slipped them on, and her coat, befor emaking her way back.
"I'm good to go whenever, and however." She added, meaning that mana was a viable option as well.
