@Totalanimefan: I'm actually pretty new here! I didn't know they did art contests here. I'll definitely have to keep an eye out for the next one!
And I post my art other places too. Instagram, DeviantArt, Facebook, Wysp, etc. Though to be completely honest, I think I've gotten more interaction in my short time here than anywhere else lol

@Totalanimefan: I appreciate the thoughtfulness. I'm not really saving for anything or looking for any items in particular. Afraid I'm kind of a minimalist in regards to avatar design so all my ideas are relatively boring to most lol
And it's funny, yeah. But honestly I prefer forums over social media for that reason. A lot of media apps run on algorithms that make it hard for unknown or small time creators to be seen outside of their own circles. Whereas forums are usually based around a singular set of interests ( pixel sites, fandoms, anime/manga, video games, etc ) so it's usually a lot easier to mingle and network.
At least, that's my experience /shrug
Though Voltra is unique in itself. Yall are some intensely friendly people lmao

Sure there are disagreements and such, but overall? This place is like... a treasure trove of people.
