@Paranoia: the shifts I pick up during the week are shorter. I can only work a max of 16 hours during the week because they dont want to pay for overtime

Ahhh right thats not bad though, my last job I had to sign an IFA which allowed me to do overtime at standard rates.
So I could literally do 70hrs in a week and only earn the normal rate then lose half of it in tax lol

@Paranoia: Wow I am glad I don't live in the states. Those types of things are not allowed here.
@Paranoia: good lord. I mean every paycheck I lose over $100 in taxes and it makes me cry
@Paranoia: Where I work at we get a set salary for most of the year, the only time we can actually get overtime pay is in December and just the weeks before Christmas. It is an odd system, but if you get overtime it is sort of frowned upon.
