Forums Role Playing The Quest for Akaro [Walk in] Open
Five kingdoms went at war, five kingdoms with different views and goals, each seeking victory through bloodshed. In the land of Niredus war was common, the races never seemed to get along and Akaro was a war seeking kingdom, desiring to rule the whole land under one kingdom. Their thirst gave birth to a God, the God of calamity grew angrier and hungrier as the wars continued. The God Nael grew impatient and cursed Akaro, the kingdom turned into a monster infested area, each being there was turned into a gruesome creature of the underworld, blessed as Nael whispered to them. That they would be able to do what their hearts desired the most, spread death.
The land of Akaro was not left untouched by the other gods, there was one specific God who wished to at least put a stop to the spread of what Nael created. The kingdom was wrapped in a barrier, making every beast and monster stop from crossing the land. At first the four kingdoms did not know what to do with Akaro, until one king decided to turn this into a competition, sending adventurers, giving them quests in exchange for gold and fame.
It had been years since the Kingdom stopped the war, instead took the challenge to cleanse Akaro of the monsters and whoever had the most kills would rule the land, making those who seek to be stronger even kill each other.

KINGDOMS OF NIREDUS
Akaro
As of now, this land only holds beasts of every king. Its barren of any intelligent life but dont be fooled, the world is alive and out to take out any intruder. This place is a war zone, its advised to team up if you cross the land.
Pesha
A land with nature loving races. Prosperous and peace seeking. They have entered the war to protect the land. Most of the area is filled with forests and mountains. They have the most population due to their diplomatic ways. [seen races among pesha kingdom, high elves, nymphs, fairies, dwarfs, even dragons ]
Khizar
Industrial advanced but also rebellious. Magical creatures live among them, some torment the dwelling life, some started to accommodate themselves to the population. Competitive Kingdom, war seeking still. Second wealthiest Kingdom. [seen races among khizar kingdom, dark elves, orcs, golems, goblins, demons]
Iselon
Knowledge seeking, magic masters, this kingdom seeks to understand how Niredus is or anything around them. Due to keeping their bloodlines from mixing too much, not many outsiders are allowed. [seen in iselon kingdom, vampires, shapeshifters, humans, elves]
Voborg
This kingdom is not most known of, it hoards many races, some mythical, they have rumored to be magic wielders, some even holding the power to bring corpses back to life.
Close to the Akaro territory a town was formed, most who come are adventurers from all four kingdoms, they can reside there, sleep and live while on their quest. The location is a neutral zone, fights can occur, so watch your back. The whole town is wrapped around one large building, The Guild. A place giving out quests and payment, they are funded by the four remaining kingdoms of Niredus, each giving their share to continue the fight against the beasts in Akaro.
Over the years the Guild managed to track and understand what is beyond the barrier, such as the adventurers are allowed to take quests of their rank or one rank above.
Rumors say some of the monsters hold on their bodies rare materials, good to forge some outstanding weapons or jewelry.
There are four ranks available, each holding a different material as token.
Shadow - Those who get the highest rank receive a token made of a blue rare gem. Few reach this rank and those who are willing are known to be famed in the Guild.
Thorn - third rank. The token they hold is made of gold.
Rose - second rank, the token is made of Silver.
Leaf - lowest, given in the beginning stages of the Guild due to so many adventures attending. Token is made of Copper.
The horned man stood over the packed market stall, it was clear the guild and location gave more to it than the rumors or the paper had ever said. It wasn’t as deserted as it had been a few years back, merchants did travel this close to make some sort of good trade with their products and honestly it was hard to believe you could get almost anything from this makeshift market out of nowhere. With his hand outstretched he hauled some dried meat, fish and a few vegetables that could fit in his satchel. Missions weren't that hard to get, sometimes just wandering aimlessly in the fields of Akaro was enough, at times it was best to stay away when night came -those critters adored the moonlight the most. As the haul of food was stored in the bag, he adjusted his swords to make sure they would not end up ditching him in the worst moment. Searching for the few coins he held onto, the hand outstretched for payment was soon given the worth of the provisions.
Pulling the strap better over his shoulder, he turned for the guild, a bulletin board was outside on each part of the door. He wandered for the one he thought to be far more packed to pick from. Some had specific monsters to hunt while others simply asked for the certain drop or material. Picking a few, he took his time ogling which had the best outcome. Since his leave from the capital of Khizar, staying near Akaro had gotten him to a decent rank, it had been a few months since he settled. He was one or two missions short from the Thorn rank, he played safe at first but finding groups of people willing to take harder missions were rare in this period.
Stapling back some of the posters he plopped on the log nearby which served as a bench, allowing him to make a choice.
