I heard the inflation got really bad on Gaia because they introduced an item where you could basically buy an absurd amount of gold with USD, or something like that. I don't remember the specifics. Either way, it was a premium item that sounded like a bad idea lol.

Yeah, Gaia introduced Platinum as a way to try and fix the inflation problem. Gold still exists, since they couldn't just switch over all at once. But 10,000,000 gold is equal to 1 Plat. Which you get for every post now. And I think there's a cap on Plat as well.

Yep.I honestly think it's better than gold. The numbers are smaller and easier to manage. Plus, you get more for posting.
You have to change it to platinum in settings
Simply switch to platinum and save, and then everything you see will be in Plat.
As for avatars! I love both Gaias and Voltras. They each have their own unique style, which I adore.
