I have a couple of *really* good sketchbooks, one of which is specifically FOR markers that are fucking lovely.

This is the sketchbook I primarily use for my marker works at the moment. Paper isn't perfect, but actually pretty damn good. You WILL need something behind it to make sure you don't mark the next page if you're doing a lot of layers though. So keep tha tin mind.

@Amber Lynne: I actually need to buy a sketchbook bc my current one is almost out (unless I go to my big cheap ones xD).
So I will look at that one! ;o And since it is mixed media watercolors wouldn't be too bad on it haha.
Though I really am interested in the Illo sketchbook since I've seen a few youtube artists really recommend it and it seems to do okay with markers for the few chances I want to use markers. >>

@Kairie: Illo DOES bleed from what I know, but it's not bad at all.
Good luck getting one though. Apparently they sell out super fast.

(And yeah, Rin uses 'em, and I want one, dammit)

But yeah. The watercolours on the Strathmore aren't the *best*, as it's 90lb paper, but not horrible for light washes and the like. Just... don't go too heavy on your water. XD

Actually, for watercolour paper, if you want a specific, I ... have a strathmore vision watercolour pad that I enjoy using too.
Canson XL is pretty good for their watercolour too. Again, just don't go overboard with water though, and it should be fine.
Plus, if the buckling of paper annoys you, once your painting is dry, wet the back and pin it between two things (in a pile of sketchbooks for instance) to dry and it'll be pretty much completely flat =)

I just prefer sketching though/I've only touched watercolors like, twice? xD So like what is the chance of me ever using watercolors enough to justify buying paper for it lmao

Though I eventually want to do like trading cards of a set of my oc's and I have those all sketched I just need to decide what medium I want to color them so I can line them finally

@Kairie: LMfao. I have .... 2 completely untouched books so far. Want to get one for coloured pencils, since they are a regular thing for me to use, and need a new book for my chibis soon (down to 5 or so pages. Lol)

Amazon is definitely dangerous. I have a ton of paints and shit in my wishlist to get to test out. XD

Oh, Here and Here are samples of why I like toned so much. I would recommend grey, but tha'ts just me.
Want to practice shading? Get a toned book, a pencil, and a white pencil crayon. white actually shows up so you can properly learn how highlights work and what not.

although my Bee Paper marker book is absolutely brilliant, yet I can't find it on Amazon now =( So I guess I ain't mad about buying THAT one in advance
