I'm currently reading Moon Over Soho by Ben Aaronovitch. It's the 2nd in a series. I'm not sure I'm in love with the premise or the storytelling/writing, but it's better than some other things I've run across or tried reading recently...

@Wildfire: No problem! I haven't heard of Moon Over Soho before. I just finished The Vile Village and it's the 7th A Series of Unfortunate Events book. I meant to finish all of them as a kid but never did. It's finally starting to get interesting!... 7 books in haha.

@Kira: There was a german writer who wrote my favorite book series. Unfortunaly not everything ended up being translated in my language from what I gathered :(
