My day has been alright.
Though woke up with such terrible leg pains thanks to back pain. :vanora_sweat:
But doing alright for most part.

Did a test stream for my art over on twitch.

My mental health is iffy though.
Probably not fairing well lol.
But I'm making art in order to distract myself.

my day has been ok! appreciated having a long weekend

i've been staying on top of taking care of my mental health
since i knew it could get bad pretty easily
so i've been pretty on top of eating sleeping exercising etc thankfully

that being said i'm really sick of the current situation

and sometimes i feel pretty sad about it all

how has your day been?

@MoodyBats: oh no! I hope your leg feels better soon. What kind of art are you doing?

@xvz: oh thank you! It's good to hear you're keeping on top of your mental health. I know what you mean though, I'm so tired of all this! My day has been good thanks, went to pick up some things for my rats. The weather was so nice and sunny, I also got 2 new plants :)

But i still have a little back pain today but not as bad as yesterday.

@Hadassah: exactly xD nothing really inspired it, I like reading Apocalyptic fiction and sci fi etc, and I was annoyed that none of the protagonists were autistic. I just feel there should be more stories about autism, especially in sci fi.

@xvz: you're right, this whole situation is unprecedented :o I'm taking ok care of myself, I actually feel better mentally than I have in a long time!
I got a tomato plant and a bell pepper plant :) I wanna grow yummy veggies :D
I have 4 rats named Long John, Dewey, Teddy and Sonny. I'll be getting 2 babies in a couple of months :)

@xvz: the plants are outdoors for now, but I will bring them inside around September time. We have quite frosty winters so I don't want them to suffer. What veggies would you like to grow?

They are adorable <3 Teddy is a black hooded, Sonny is a husky, Long John is a champagne and Dewey is a pearl, which is like a creamy grey.

hmm i'm not sure, i guess whatever's easiest? lol
i don't have outdoor space so whatever i can shove next to the kitchen window i guess
maybe ... carrots or tomatoes? cabbage ? i like eating most veggies so it's probably more about what's easy to grow
i also like the idea of getting a dwarf citrus tree of some kind :3 maybe oranges?

@xvz: ooh cabbage, I would love to grow that. We don't have much outside space, like a 5 metre square patch of concrete attached to our flat XD but we grow in pots. And we are looking into getting a mini greenhouse. I have a dwarf citrus tree too, but it hasn't produced any fruit since the first year i got it, about 3 years ago :/ idk what's wrong with it.

Yes they get along very well :) they are two pairs of brothers. Rats are generally a social species and love to live in big groups, the bigger the group the better really. They have the occasional scrap but nothing too serious. Teddy had to get neutered because he was fighting with the others due to hormonal aggression, but the neuter worked for him and he's soft as butter now :)

aww! what kind of citrus tree is it? i read it takes like 3 years to grow fruit so you're probably not doing anything wrong!

aww butter mouse lol. it's sweet they have family and friends to be around
i do wonder about some pets, like if they get lonely if they're the only ones
it must be fun / interesting to see the dynamic between them all, like their personalities around each other

@xvz: I have no idea what type of citrus it is, I got it from Morrisons and it was just labelled citrus xD it produces (well, not now...) small orange fruit that tastes absolutely vile!

it is so fun to watch them. Generally they get on well but there are times when they lash out at each other when they're in bad moods etc. It's always funny to watch them interact.

@Nephila: Which one lol? I have a bunch. I am working on one now which is about humans in space who are being chased by aliens. It sounds pretty basic but there's a lot of political stuff going on too. It's for a horror exchange so horror is the main element. I am currently working on my novel though, which is also about humans in space lol. I like sci fi.

@Nephila: No I don't :( I keep meaning to update my website with some stories. Maybe I should do that? I mostly send them into magazines etc but I haven't had anything published yet. I've only sent about 5 in 2020 so far, I need to up my game lol.
